Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of a Rigger III is to safely assemble and dismantle rigging gear, including ropes, cables, pulleys, and cranes, to move heavy loads efficiently. The individual must inspect lifting gear before use, ensuring that all equipment meets the required safety standards. During operations, the Rigger guides crane operators using hand signals or radio communication, ensuring precise load placement. In addition, they assess the weight and center of gravity of loads to determine appropriate rigging methods. Riggers also maintain detailed logs of lifting operations, comply with all company and TUV safety procedures, and coordinate with supervisors and engineers to execute lifting plans accurately.
