Key Responsibilities

The Storekeeper is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and documenting all incoming materials. Each delivery must be verified against purchase orders and checked for quality and quantity before acceptance. Once received, materials are properly labeled and stored in designated areas to ensure easy access and minimize damage or loss. The Storekeeper also issues materials to engineers, technicians, and workers based on authorized requests, ensuring accurate record-keeping in material logs or software systems.

Another key duty is monitoring stock levels to identify shortages or surpluses. The Storekeeper prepares requisitions for replenishment when necessary, maintaining balance between availability and cost control. Additionally, they maintain cleanliness and order in the warehouse area, ensuring safety standards are followed at all times.

Skills and Knowledge

A competent Storekeeper must possess strong organizational and record-keeping skills. Attention to detail is vital to prevent errors in inventory and documentation.
