Job Title: Rigger III (TUV) HELPERS, FLAGMAN JOB IN SAUDI ARABIA
Description
The Rigger III (TUV) position is an essential role within the construction and industrial sectors, especially in large-scale operations like those found in Jubail. A Rigger III is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of heavy materials, machinery, and structures using cranes, hoists, and rigging equipment. Their job is critical in maintaining smooth workflow and preventing accidents in high-risk environments. Riggers are the backbone of lifting operations, providing technical precision and safety oversight to all material-handling processes. In industries where precision and reliability are vital, such as oil and gas, petrochemical, and infrastructure projects, the role of a certified Rigger III remains indispensable.
Key Responsibilities
A Rigger III handles multiple tasks that demand both physical strength and technical accuracy. Their main responsibility is to set up and inspect rigging equipment before any lifting or hoisting operation begins. They coordinate closely with crane operators to guide movements safely and precisely, using standard hand signals and communication protocols. Riggers also inspect lifting gears, shackles, slings, and cables to ensure all equipment complies with safety regulations and is free from defects. During lifting operations, they are required to determine load weights, calculate angles, and secure loads properly to avoid imbalance or accidents. After completing tasks, they dismantle and store rigging gear properly to maintain a safe and organized worksite. Their work directly contributes to the timely and secure execution of industrial projects.
Skills and Knowledge
To succeed as a Rigger III (TUV), a worker must possess a valid TUV certification that confirms their professional training and technical expertise in rigging operations. Candidates should have deep knowledge of rigging methods, weight distribution, load calculation, and safety standards. Strong communication skills are vital since riggers must coordinate continuously with crane operators, supervisors, and safety officers. Physical fitness, attention to detail, and situational awareness are key attributes for performing safely and efficiently in demanding environments. Experience in the industrial or construction field is highly preferred, along with a sound understanding of lifting equipment and workplace safety procedures. A responsible rigger not only completes tasks efficiently but also ensures every operation is carried out without compromising safety.
