Key Responsibilities

The primary duties of a 6G Welder include reading blueprints and welding symbols, setting up equipment, inspecting materials, and ensuring all welds meet the required safety and quality standards. Welders are also responsible for maintaining their tools and ensuring a clean working environment. They must work efficiently under pressure, especially during critical pipeline or structural projects. Helpers, in contrast, assist in material handling, cleaning work areas, transporting tools, and supporting welders during operations. Their timely assistance ensures that projects run without unnecessary delays. Both roles demand strong teamwork, attention to detail, and a deep respect for safety procedures.

Skills and Knowledge

A 6G Welder must have advanced technical knowledge of MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques, along with a deep understanding of metallurgy and fabrication processes. Certification and prior experience in pipe welding are highly preferred. The ability to work in confined spaces and elevated areas safely is also essential. A Helper, meanwhile, should possess basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment, along with physical fitness and a willingness to learn on the job. Good communication and discipline are key traits for success in both roles.
